Testimonials

My goal was to be able to walk out of The Gardens at Millville after a double amputation amputation and that’s exactly what I did!

Randy N.

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff care for their residents like they are family. They advocate for what the resident needs no matter what. What’s more, they always have a friendly smile on their face while giving the residents the best care they can. I highly recommend The Gardens at Millville!

The staff at The Gardens at Millville are wonderful! Everyone I came into contact with was kind and caring. Everyone was respectful to my father and shared details and kept me up to date with how he was doing. He was safe, getting the medication he needed, and the opportunity to engage. Thank you for all you did for my father during his stay and for helping him transition home with me. Your kindness and dedication does not go unnoticed.

Mr. Edward Kelly, “Ed” was admitted to The Gardens at Millville after an elective total right knee replacement surgery.

Ed didn’t know what to expect or think about entering a rehabilitation center and was nervous about the thoughts of being admitted to one.

Our hospital liaison answered all his impending questions, prepared him for admission and made him comfortable with his transition.

Ed began working with Physical and Occupational Therapy on admission to regain his strength and endurance in his knee. Ed actively participated in his treatment, his therapy goals and his plan of care to begin the process of healing, gaining mobility, strength and endurance not only on his surgical knee, but throughout his entire body.

Ed will be returning home in time for the holiday season with his wife. When asked about what he will remember most about his rehabilitation stay at The Gardens at Millville, Ed stated “ the smiling faces of all the staff members.”

Ed is pictured here with his therapist Josh. The Gardens at Millville also thanks Ed for allowing us to care for him and for his service to our country.

Kathy R. became our short term rehab guest due to a wrist fracture from a fall that she had.

Kathy was having multiple falls and struggling with her tolerance and balance.Kathy began working with our Physical and Occupational therapy teams immediately upon admission. She began working on range of motion, balance, endurance, strength training, and safety awareness and techniques. She also began working on compensatory strategies for her low vision and the ability to use adaptive equipment.

In as little as four weeks, Kathy increased her tolerance, strength and balance and learned new ways to conserve her energy for all her daily living tasks.

Kathy will be returning home to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday with her family.

Kathy is pictured here enjoying one of her favorite past times, crocheting.
